Assessment services are most frequently utilized when determining
a student's eligibility for special education services in school.
These assessments cover a wide range of areas which include academic skills, learning aptitudes, behavior, social skills, personality and emotional development. In determining the unique needs of students, assessment plays a key role for successful learning and positive behavior change.
Our consultation service meets a variety of needs. Most often, consultation is requested for assistance in developing Postive Behavior Support plans. This type
of service also includes those times when parents may be concerned about their child's developmental progress, or as teachers begin
to express concern over a student's academic progress. Consultations help all of us become better prepared to assist our student's education.
Creating a behavioral intervention
for positive behavior change flows from the results of either formal assessment or perhaps as a result
of a consultation. Behavioral interventions are then designed
to target the unique needs of the student while also considering the learning environment of the student. Intervention not only looks at the behavioral aspects of students but also their unique learning styles and appropriate learning strategies.
